The Plattsburgh Public Library : Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library provide support to the library by sponsoring art exhibits in the Hale-Walter Gallery, winter and summer book sales, an annual luncheon, an Adopt-a-Book program, cultural programs, quarterly newsletters, endowments, gifts and memorial projects, and volunteer programs. We welcome all members to become involved in our projects.

FRIENDS OF THE PLATTSBURGH PUBLIC LIBRARY MEETINGS
The third Tuesday of every month (except July and August)
10 AM in the upstairs Community Room/Gallery
Everyone is welcome to attend. Please join us in our efforts to support the library.

The Friends of the Plattsburgh Public Library announce their newest spring fundraiser entitled "Feathered Friends", a silent auction of creative bird-related items such as bird houses, bird feeders and bird baths. The event will run from Wednesday, April 7th through Thursday, May 6^th at the Plattsburgh Public Library, 19 Oak Street.

Local artisans are invited to participate by constructing or purchasing bird houses, bird feeders or bird baths and then decorating them. Entries are due by April 6^th at the Plattsburgh Public Library. All proceeds will be used by the Friends in their mission to support the library. To make a purchase, please write a check payable to the artist and give it to someone at the circulation desk.
For the appearance of the show, we request that purchased items be left hanging for the duration of the show.
If this is a problem, call 297-2616.

For your info: At the September meeting, the Friends of the Library voted to increase the donation requested for any sale to 20%. Checks for the entire amount of the sale will be written to the artist. The 20% tax deductible donation is submitted to the Friends of the Plattsburgh Public Library by the artist after payment.
