The mission of the Plattsburgh Public Library is to serve the educational, cultural, recreational, and inspirational needs of every citizen of the City of Plattsburgh. The library believes that only through wide dissemination of knowledge and ideas can we continue to maintain the well-informed citizenry which is essential to the preservation of our democratic heritage. The library services a dual role as a community library and as a central reference library for libraries serving the Clinton, Essex, and Franklin county area.
Computers are available for use by anyone with a Clinton-Essex-Franklin county library card. Use is first come first serve, and limited to one hour. Printing is available for $0.15 per page for black and white and $0.40 per page for color.
The library’s public access network is called “City-Public” – no user name or password is required. Like most public hot spots, the library’s wireless network is not secure. You should not transmit sensitive data over any open wireless connection.
You cannot print directly from your own device. The library’s wireless network provides Internet access only. However, you can print from our public computers.
