Ancestry: Full access is available from the library computers only due to licensing restrictions. However, the NY State library offers free access to the New York portion of through the New York State Library’s website.

Newspaper Source Plus: (PPL patrons only) New database with access to hundreds of daily newspapers. Not all are available full text, but many are. (Available to Plattsburgh Public patrons only due to licensing restrictions)

Mergent Investors Edge: A Business and Investing database made possible with Tillson Trust Funds.

New York State Newspapers: Search this database of ten major newspapers published in the state of New York, including the New York Times and the New York Post.

Hot Topics: Research guides compiled by Clinton Essex Franklin Library System librarians. Topics include career resources, genealogy, recovering from addiction, surviving winter, and more.

Digital Public Library of America: Provides access to digitized materials from libraries, archives, and museums from around the country.

OWL at Purdue Online Research and Citation Guides: Shows how to cite in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles.

NYS Historic Newspapers: A free site with over 6 million digitized pages of New York state newspapers. Search or browse by location, newspaper, keywords, and dates.

New York Heritage: A free research portal to over 170 digital collections of historic, scholarly, and cultural materials from New York institutions.
